Just read a great article by the wonderful writer, Barbara Kingsolver. It’s guaranteed to bring tears but will also educate you about the truly outstanding program, Heifer International. Definitely worth the time!

oh that article made me feel mad and sad and a little bit hopeful. The things that people do to each other through ignorance!
I’ve only read one of Barbara Kingslovers books and enjoyed it thoroughly. She wrote so poetically and was incredibly insightful – it was the ‘poisonwood bible’ and I think I might just check out if the library has some more to offer.

You might like “Small Wonder” – a book of her essays.

I know the library does have that because I picked it up and put it back down again because I was looking for something more indepth. Will go back and borrow it.
I actully have a thought that I picked up a copy of that book somewhere and have it on my bookshelf – so I’ll look there first
